Dear Scouters and Staff,
The September
October hard copy Issues of Signals was
just completed at the printers. This job continues to
be done gratis for us
and we really appreciate it.
Being that this is September 21 a bulk mailing of the
Signals newsletter doesn't make
much sense. It is
expensive and will not reach our readers in time to be
of much use.
We have been encouraging
our scouters to receive their
Signals electronically. This seems like a good
situation to utilize that technology. Attached
is your
copy of the September October issue of Signals.
Please distribute it to everyone in your distribution
group.
We will NOT mail the hard copies of this issue.
Hard copies have bee printed and will be available at
all Council
and district offices. Your District
Executive will also have copies. This issue is already
posted on the Council website
Thank
you in advance for your cooperation and
understanding on this matter. Hard copies of your
November December Signals
will be mailed in a more
timely fashion.

Do we have
your updated e-mail address? With e-mail we can contact you
a lot easier, and send more information to you. We would like to have both
the scouts and the parents address.
We send out Troop Meeting Reminders and will be
sending out this
newsletter by e-mail. If you dont have Internet access, this information will
always be available to you in paper form.
If you have e-mail and we dont have your address either give
it to a leader
or
you can e-mail it to tmangia@adelphia.net
Scout Clothes
We have used Boy Scout Uniforms that were donated from past scouts. If
you have a uniform that no longer fits, and would like to donate them to the
troop, that would be appreciated. These uniforms will be given to scouts that
can use them.
We are also looking for a parent to handle the job of taking in and
distributing these uniforms.
Upcoming Meetings
Parents
We need help from the parents in the troop.
At the troop meetings the few parents that stay at the meetings are very busy with advancements, board of reviews, and with
mentoring of the scouts.
It is the same parents, week after week, and if one of the regular
parents cant make the meeting, we are often caught short-handed. Ask a leader what you can do to help at the meetings.
Parents Meeting
Future
Parents Meetings: It was suggested that the best way to conduct the parents meetings
in the future would be to have at least one parent from each Patrol represented. This
could be discussed and planned by the individual parents at Troop meetings.
