Why?
Boy Scout Resident Camp is fun and adventure with a purpose. It also serves as an excellent place to promote character,
citizenship, and fitness in the scouts who attend. It also serves to maintain interest for scouts whose troops do not plan
activities and have meeting during the summer. Camp Wakpominee also provides an opportunity to enjoy the outdoors in the Adirondack
Region. The camp is fully accredited and is staffed by National Camp School Certified Directors and trained instructors.
Who?
All Boy Scouts are welcome to attend Camp Wakpominee. Our program is designed to provide challenge and fun for
scouts of all ages. Adults are also welcome to take part as participants in the C.O.P.E or Mountain Biking programs or to
offer their skills in helping to teach in any program area. Our camp is open to all registered youth members of the Boy Scouts
of America without regard to race, color, creed or financial status.

(both of whom must be registered scouters). When leadership changes occur, leaders must sign out and in at the camp office.
We strongly recommend at least one leader stay for the week. If 2-deep leadership is not possible, the Camp Director must
be notified prior to your arrival. There will be a nominal fee to troops that do not have two deep leadership. One adult at
least 21 years of age and a second at least 18 years of age attend free with at least eight boys. Any troop exceeding ten
youth members in camp is entitled to an additional free leader for each additional eight scouts. There is a $100 dollar fee
